The Boston Celtics have seized a crucial 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals, defeating the Miami Heat 110-97 in Game 5 on Sunday. The Celtics outscored the Heat 56-38 in the second half, a decisive swing that propelled them to victory.

The Heat, who nearly blew a 3-0 series lead against the Celtics, started strong in Game 5, leading by nine points at the end of the first quarter. However, the Celtics fought back in the second quarter, tying the game at 54 heading into halftime.

The Celtics' dominance in the second half was evident, as they shot 52.4% from the field and held the Heat to just 36.1% shooting. Jayson Tatum led the way with 31 points, while Jaylen Brown added 28 points and Al Horford chipped in with 16 points.

For the Heat, Jimmy Butler led the scoring with 23 points, followed by Tyler Herro's 19 points. However, the Heat were unable to keep pace with the Celtics' high-powered offense in the second half.

The Celtics will look to build on their momentum in Game 6, which will be played in Boston on Tuesday. If the Heat win, the series will return to Miami for a decisive Game 7 on Thursday.
