American Junior Golf Association Stars Earn Selection to Prestigious International Match

Top-ranked amateurs to compete against Great Britain & Ireland

Two of the most promising young golfers in the United States, Meg Kuehn and Emilia Rhodes, have been selected to represent their country in the 2024 Curtis Cup. The Curtis Cup is a biennial match play competition between the top amateur women golfers from the United States and Great Britain & Ireland.

Kuehn, a 17-year-old from Cincinnati, Ohio, is currently ranked No. 1 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. She has won four AJGA tournaments this year, including the Rolex Tournament of Champions. Rhodes, a 16-year-old from San Diego, California, is ranked No. 2 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. She has won three AJGA tournaments this year, including the Polo Golf Junior Classic.

Kuehn and Rhodes will be joined on the U.S. team by six other top amateurs. The team will be captained by Sarah Ingram, a former Curtis Cup player and current assistant coach at the University of Virginia.

The 2024 Curtis Cup will be held from June 13-15 at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. The U.S. team will be looking to win its third consecutive Curtis Cup.

The Curtis Cup was first played in 1932. The United States has won the Cup 31 times, while Great Britain & Ireland has won it 10 times. The 2024 Curtis Cup will be the first to be held in the United States since 2016.
