Mastodon Lamb Of God Stream Collaborative New Track Floods Of Triton

MASTODON & LAMB OF GOD Stream Collaborative New Track "Floods Of Triton"

Progressive metal titans Mastodon and groove metal juggernauts Lamb of God have unveiled their highly anticipated collaborative new track, "Floods Of Triton."

The crushing single serves as the lead offering from the forthcoming Bloodstock Festival 2023 compilation album, which is due out on August 4th via earMUSIC.

Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds teased the collaboration earlier this year, saying that it was "the heaviest thing Mastodon has ever done." And based on the sound of "Floods Of Triton," he wasn't exaggerating.

The track is a slow-burning behemoth, with thunderous riffs and punishing drums that build to a cataclysmic crescendo. Hinds' and Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe trade off on vocals, their unique styles complementing each other perfectly.

The lyrics are suitably apocalyptic, with Blythe bellowing about "floods of Triton" and "the end of all things." It's a fitting theme for a collaboration between two of metal's most formidable forces.

Mastodon and Lamb of God have long been mutual admirers, and their collaboration on "Floods Of Triton" is a testament to their shared love of heavy music. The track is a must-listen for fans of both bands, and it's sure to get the blood pumping at Bloodstock Festival this summer.

The full Bloodstock Festival 2023 compilation album will feature a variety of exclusive tracks and rarities from some of the biggest names in metal, including Judas Priest, Megadeth, and Mercyful Fate. The album is available for pre-order now from earMUSIC.

"Floods Of Triton" is available for streaming on all major platforms. Check it out below:
